The Ragno brand is one of the historic players in the development and success of the Italian ceramic tile industry throughout the world.

Founded back in 1949 by its namesake “Ragno srl”, during the 60’s and 70’s the Ragno brand reached its peak in terms of recognizability with a large output of glazed floor and wall tiles destined for various segments of the construction industry on both the national and international level. The introduction of advanced, automated manufacturing technologies at the beginning of the 80’s was coupled with a redefinition of the company’s commercial and marketing strategy which was increasingly directed toward meeting the needs of the customers and market. These efforts translated into an expansion in the range of products in keeping with the latest trends, styles and developments in consumer taste.

In 1989 Ceramiche Ragno Spa was purchased by the Marazzi Group and since January of 2006, as a result of a company merger operation, Ceramiche Ragno Spa has been part of Marazzi Group Spa, maintaining its own goodwill and strength as a commercial brand.

"Ragno adds quality to contemporary life, covering interiors with ceramic products that are innovative in their design and style." This is the new Ragno mission that is a spontaneous expression of its evident young, creative and provocative personality. We want to experiment with all the old and new functional options of a material, that has been unexpressed for long and now is coming back in a new aesthetic "Renaissance".

We have no fear of taking on challenges or thinking outside of the box to be dynamic and inspire customized designs that fully express the personality of the designers and customers who want to be master of their surroundings. This is all supported by the quality and inherent features that have been part of the Ragno brand for over 50 years, such as high-quality products, reliable materials, service and a wide range of tailor-made products for customers who want to experience a future-oriented space.

The Company dedicates impressive care and resources to the quality. Certification of the Ragno Quality System by Certiquality, under the UNI-EN-ISO 9001:2000 standard, is an important achievement within a development strategy that aims to optimise the quality of products and correlated services provided to customers and end users.

In 2004 CERTIQUALITY garanted the Company UNI EN ISO 14001 certification for their commitment to curbing the environmental impact of their production processes in line with established legislation. This important certification is the outcome of strong corporate conscientiousness in relation to the protection of the environment.

CCC certification, introduced in 2002, applies to products both imported to China and produced in the country for the Chinese market. Information concerning CCC certification generally relates to health and safety. In the case of ceramic tiles, reference is made specifically only to porcelain tiles having water absorption of 0.5% or less. Certification is obtained through institutions specifically accredited by the Chinese authorities, all based in China.
