The production range was extended gradually from refractory bricks and fair-faced floor tiles up to glazed, variously decorated floor tiles, porous tiles, mosaic tiles, tiled stoves, and special relief tiles used to face buildings and facades. For system solution of buildings, LASSELSBERGER produces ceramic tiles under the trade mark LB OBJECT. The mark covers matching systems of floor and wall tiles intended especially for designing and investment purposes. In the products of these trade marks, the greatest emphasis is put on variability, functionality, excellent properties and high utility value. The RAKO logo shows the Assyrian king Assurnasirpal II who was among the founders of the Neo-Assyrian Empire. The ceramic pot the ruler holds in his hand in one of the scenes of that period was called RAKO and it became the symbol of the thousand-year tradition of ceramics. The King’s figure was placed on an octagonal tile and completed with the inscription RAKO above his head. The logo is recorded as being used for the first time in the year 1935. | |||||||||||||||
